shoes and bags
made to measure in a former knitting factory in dornbirn, Widagasse 9.
how
according to the informations of your feet ——- fOOTPRINT :ink on paper: and the measurements of your base, instep and buttom - every pair is worked on your personal wooden ShOE laStS.

ANGY - the every Friday shoemakerlady with professional hands and 12 years of experience - then produces a first sAmplE shOE.
at this point you gonna be asked to pass by, give them a try and sTep IN! this fiTTinG will give us the correct indications to rework on the shoe lasts, adapt the pATTeRn and cut the leather for the shoe upper and sew it.
:
then the vegetable tanned iNsOLEs get prepared and the sHoe uppERs will be pulled over the lasts. the next working step is one of my favorites —- it is an old technique with which the shoe upper gets sewn together with the frame and the inner sole - /no machines!!/

The threat, we gonna work with, is all ´homemade´ with:: flax, bee wax and pitch -a mixture of resin and vaseline. The covering ingredients melt when pulling the threat, and fill up the preworked holes in order to make them waterproof and fix the stitch!
we are lucky!… we still work with little stocks of the once famous and now almost forgotten czismen-needels, which we heat up under the flame of our spiritus lamp and form it to finally get the perfect shape to do the traditional handmade good-year-welting.
then we fill up the empty space with cOrk and a piece of stEEl which works like a bridge between heel and shoe sole. a leather sole now gets sewn on the fRamE - samesame here, by hand! - and finally we built up the hEEl with singular layers of vegetabil tanned leather.
after painting and fiNisHINg the borders and pOliShing the shoes, we pull out the lasts, give them a last stroke with the goat hair brush and nylon stockings. . . and there
